The New River
The New River is one of the oldest rivers in the world. It also is one of the few major rivers that flows north instead of south. In 1998 the river was designated an "American Heritage River" and is known for its beautiful scenery. Many hours of enjoyment can be found canoeing, kayaking, and camping near this beautiful river.
