Notary Public
The Register of Deeds Office administers notary public oaths for Ashe County notaries anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, the office makes a variety of notary forms available to the general public, including applications for initial appointment, reappointment, and change of name or change of address. These three are linked below. Please feel free to print out and complete the appropriate application. You will then mail the completed form to:

You will receive a notice to be sworn in at the Register of Deeds Office. The notary oath fee is $10.00.
