Ashe County
Tax Administration is responsible for generating revenue
through property taxes to be used in funding local county
government. We identify all taxable property,
determine an assessed value, prepare tax notices and collect
outstanding amounts. We also maintain public records
and provide assistance to anyone who needs to access these
records. The department is divided into three
divisions:
Tax
collections is primarily responsible for
collection of outstanding amounts and maintaining
acceptable accounting records.
Tax
assessing is primarily responsible for the listing
and assessment of all taxable property, both real and
personal property along with generating annual tax
liability.
Tax
mapping is primarily
responsible for identifying all real property in Ashe
county and maintaining property maps.
