Ashe Park was developed in 1973 on 65 acres of land. Here
you may find yourself enjoying several different types of
recreation. Ashe Park hosts four lighted tennis courts,
three lighted ball fields, eight horse shoe pits, two
playgrounds, three covered shelters, a pond with two paddle
boats, pee-wee soccer field, sand volleyball court, botchie
court, and basketball court. The park is open in the
spring, summer, and fall.

Ashe County Parks and Recreation
also runs a portion of Family Central. Family Central, the
old Ashe Central High School was built in 1963, but became part
of parks and recreation in 1997. This facility is based on
30.55 acres of land, and hosts two ball fields, light football
field, soccer field, and a gymnasium.
