Emergency Operations Center

The Ashe County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) functions as a central location to coordinate all EMS, fire, rescue, law enforcement and other county services during any major incident or disaster in Ashe County. It is located on the second floor of the Ashe County Courthouse in Jefferson. Upon activation, the EOC is staffed with top-level management representatives involved in response activities under the direction of county and/or municipal government. During a disaster, the EOC is usually manned 24 hours/day to provide coordination of field operations and handle requests for assistance. The EOC also receives reports of property damage, power outages, street obstruction/closings.
