Subject: Enforcement of two Grounding Electrodes

- Upon on review of resistance in other areas of the state and consulting
with the a state and other departments it has become apparent that to
satisfy the requirements of article 250.56 that it will be necessary that an
additional supplemental grounding electrode be installed
- Beginning July 1, 2002 all permanent installations will require 2
grounding electrodes per Article 250.56. The NEC requires a minimum of 6
foot between made electrodes, however the paralleling efficiency of rods 8
feet or longer is improved by spacing greater than 6 feet
